I tried this Fish Patrani by Shilpa Shetty Kundra

First of all I want to make it clear to you all that I am a Bengali and I love fish. I just watched a video from Shipla Shetty’s Channels on Youtube called The Art of Loving Food. I liked her fish patrani recipe and now want to share with you what actually needed to prepare for Fish Patrani.

Fish patrani is one of my favourite dishes when it prepared with pomfret or vetki fish. You can make fish patrani with any medium size fishes like; Katla, Salmon and other.

I used to prepared it on holidays because it takes little bit of time for the preparation. But the recipe is not tough to apply.

To make Fish Patrani You need;

  • 1. Fish cut like medium sized sliced pieces.
  • 2. Banana Leaf to wrap the fish.
  • 3. Cutney made with Coriander Leaves, Mint Leaves, Lemon Juice, Coconut Milk, Jeera Power, Salt, and Extra Spices if you need.
  • 4. Toothpicks to close the banana leaf.

You need to make a thick paste of the ingredient that needed for chutney by a mixer grinder. Then apply those cutney on both side of the fish and put it into the banana leaf. Then again add some more chutney into the banana leaf and finally wrap it and close it with toothpicks.

Cook in steam for 8-10 minutes then it is ready to serve.
